What are some of the valuable benefits of affiliation with our EB-5 regional center in Chicago?

The advantages of EB-5 regional center affiliation are manifold. Here are a few.

1. The ability to begin raising capital instantly.

If you have an EB-5 project in Chicago, we’re sure you’d like to start securing EB-5 capital as soon as possible. If you affiliate with EB5AN, you’ll be able to begin raising capital quickly, and since our regional center offers full coverage across the entire state of Illinois, your project can be located anywhere within the city! For the full list of our Immigrant Investor Regional Centers that have been approved by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), please visit the USCIS website.

2. Easier investment requirements.

To qualify for permanent U.S. residence through the EB-5 program, each investor must make an EB5 investment that creates at least 10 full-time, permanent jobs. This is a daunting task for direct investors because they are allowed to count only direct employment positions that last at least two years. However, the requirement differs significantly for EB-5 investments in projects sponsored by regional centers. For regional center projects, you can count both direct and indirect job creation, making it much easier to create enough jobs for multiple investors, ultimately leading to more capital for your EB-5 project in Chicago.

3. A quick affiliation process so you can concentrate on raising capital.

You want to get out there and start raising EB-5 capital immediately, so don’t waste time wading through bureaucratic forms. We’re extremely familiar with the regional center affiliation process and would be happy to guide you through it to save you time and frustration. We’ll help you determine whether your EB-5 project is suitable for affiliation with our Chicago regional center, and then, we’ll sit down with you to figure out your project’s potential for job creation and capital support. After that, you can commence raising capital right away.

Find out whether Chicago qualifies as a targeted employment area (TEA).

Because targeted employment area (TEA) designation holds numerous benefits for EB-5 projects in Chicago and other cities, it is important to understand both the benefits of and the USCIS process for TEA designation. To determine whether your EB-5 project location falls within a TEA, please consult our free EB-5 TEA map, which includes data for the entire United States. All you need to do is to enter the project address—the rest of the process is automated.

The EB5AN TEA map relies on the most recently published versions of two data sets, namely American Community Survey (ACS) five-year data and Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data. It assesses TEA eligibility based on four calculation methodologies USCIS accepts—three related to calculating unemployment rates and one related to qualification as a rural TEA. Unemployment rates are calculated using (1) American Community Survey (ACS) five-year unemployment data by census tract, (2) the census-share methodology, which is based on a combination of ACS data and county-level BLS data, and (3) BLS county-level data for TEA determination on a county-wide level. To determine rural qualification, population and geographical data are considered. To qualify as a TEA, a project site needs to qualify under only one calculation method.

A TEA can also be created by combining directly adjacent census tracts and considering the weighted average unemployment rate. The EB5AN TEA map performs this function automatically.
