From First Ward to Fourth Ward and all other neighborhoods, the entire city of Charlotte is serviced by the EB5 Affiliate Network (EB5AN) regional center in North Carolina. Contact us to learn more about the affiliation process and the benefits affiliation holds.

EB-5 projects that affiliate with our EB5AN State of North Carolina EB-5 regional center enjoy numerous benefits.

Affiliating with an EB-5 regional center holds three key benefits.

1. Commence the collection of EB-5 capital instantly.

Because the entire city of Charlotte is covered by our EB5AN regional center in North Carolina, if you affiliate your EB-5 project located in Charlotte with our network, you’ll instantly unlock the ability to raise capital in any part of the city. Like all EB5AN regional centers, the EB5AN State of North Carolina Regional Center has been approved by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and is listed on the USCIS website.

2. Meet the EB-5 investor requirements more easily, thereby increasing your access to capital.

One of the EB-5 investor requirements is that your project must create at least 10 new jobs. If you’re not affiliated with a regional center, you can count only payroll employees—and only those who you’ve employed for at least 24 months. Obviously, under these conditions, fulfilling this condition is no easy task. However, EB5AN affiliates can count indirect job creation as well, dramatically facilitating this requirement. This will also enable you to raise more capital for your project!

3. Allow us to help you complete the affiliation process to save time.

We’ve already completed hundreds of affiliation applications, so we know exactly what we’re doing. Allowing us to help you is the fastest way to navigate the regional center affiliation process and start raising more capital immediately. After we determine whether your EB-5 project is fit for affiliation with our Charlotte-based regional center, we’ll sit down with you to ascertain the levels of job creation and EB-5 capital associated with your project.

Take it a step further by establishing your own EB-5 regional center in Charlotte. With our help, you’ll have it set up in no time.

To form a new regional center, you’ll need to fill out an I-924 application. The problem is that this form contains a myriad of legal, economic, and business components, making it quite a hassle to complete. Save yourself the time and stress by letting us help you.

As owners and operators of an extensive regional center network, we have a demonstrated record of success, are extremely familiar with the USCIS adjudication process, and have already conducted more than 300 USCIS-compliant business plans and economic impact studies, so we’re highly skilled in navigating the labyrinth of bureaucracy that the I-924 form entails and know exactly how to bypass all the potential hazards that can arise. In short, if you let us assist you, you’ll have your Charlotte-based EB-5 regional center application ready for submission in a mere three weeks.

If you have any further questions on obtaining USCIS approval for your very own regional center, let us know. We respond quickly: You won’t have to wait more than 24 hours.

What zones of Charlotte are designated as targeted employment areas?

Because targeted employment area (TEA) designation holds numerous benefits for EB-5 projects in Charlotte and other cities, it is important to understand both the benefits of and the USCIS process for TEA designation. To determine whether your EB-5 project location falls within a TEA, please consult our free EB-5 TEA map, which includes data for the entire United States. All you need to do is to enter the project address—the rest of the process is automated.

The EB5AN TEA map relies on the most recently published versions of two data sets, namely American Community Survey (ACS) five-year data and Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data. It assesses TEA eligibility based on four calculation methodologies USCIS accepts—three related to calculating unemployment rates and one related to qualification as a rural TEA. Unemployment rates are calculated using (1) American Community Survey (ACS) five-year unemployment data by census tract, (2) the census-share methodology, which is based on a combination of ACS data and county-level BLS data, and (3) BLS county-level data for TEA determination on a county-wide level. To determine rural qualification, population and geographical data are considered. To qualify as a TEA, a project site needs to qualify under only one calculation method.

A TEA can also be created by combining directly adjacent census tracts and considering the weighted average unemployment rate. The EB5AN TEA map performs this function automatically.
