What are the benefits of allowing the EB5AN State of Louisiana EB-5 regional center to sponsor your project?

When you rent our EB-5 regional center, you’ll be able to…

1. Enjoy immediate access to EB-5 investment funds.

Your EB-5 project in any area of New Orleans can be funded with EB-5 capital through our regional center, since this regional center has coverage of the entire state of Louisiana. This means you can raise EB-5 capital immediately once you’re affiliated. Our Louisiana regional center is also USCIS approved and listed on the USCIS website.

2. Attract EB-5 investors by maximizing your job creation figures.

Each EB-5 investor is required by the program to make an investment that results in the creation of 10 or more full-time jobs. Since investors seek projects that allow them to easily achieve adequate job creation, they typically pursue regional center projects, which are allowed to count indirect jobs in their totals. Direct investment projects can count only direct jobs that last for at least two years. These relaxed job creation requirements give regional center projects a distinct advantage when it comes to raising EB-5 capital.

3. Use our EB5AN State of Louisiana regional center’s resources to get your New Orleans EB-5 project up and running.

The team at EB5AN has the resources to help you determine your project’s job creation capability, the amount of EB-5 capital it can support, and whether it’s eligible for sponsorship by our New Orleans EB-5 regional center. We complete the affiliation process quickly so you can start raising EB-5 capital for your project right away.

Has your EB-5 project’s location been designated as a targeted employment area (TEA)?

Because targeted employment area (TEA) designation holds numerous benefits for EB-5 projects in New Orleans and other cities, it is important to understand both the benefits of and the USCIS process for TEA designation. To determine whether your EB-5 project location falls within a TEA, please consult our free EB-5 TEA map, which includes data for the entire United States. All you need to do is to enter the project address—the rest of the process is automated.

The EB5AN TEA map relies on the most recently published versions of two data sets, namely American Community Survey (ACS) five-year data and Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data. It assesses TEA eligibility based on four calculation methodologies USCIS accepts—three related to calculating unemployment rates and one related to qualification as a rural TEA. Unemployment rates are calculated using (1) American Community Survey (ACS) five-year unemployment data by census tract, (2) the census-share methodology, which is based on a combination of ACS data and county-level BLS data, and (3) BLS county-level data for TEA determination on a county-wide level. To determine rural qualification, population and geographical data are considered. To qualify as a TEA, a project site needs to qualify under only one calculation method.

A TEA can also be created by combining directly adjacent census tracts and considering the weighted average unemployment rate. The EB5AN TEA map performs this function automatically.
