The first step in any EB-5 investment is for the investor to hire an EB-5 immigration attorney. With the attorney’s help, the investor can then find a suitable project and perform due diligence on both the project and the affiliated regional center. Once an investor settles on a project, he/she will be expected to sign the necessary paperwork and invest the required capital. Once the capital is committed to the project, the I-526 Petition can be submitted to USCIS.
