Springfield EB-5 Regional Center

Springfield EB-5 Immigrant Investor Regional Center

If you’re planning an EB-5 project based in Springfield, Illinois, EB5 Affiliate Network (EB5AN) offers you the opportunity to affiliate your project with its State of Illinois regional center. Contact EB5AN to learn how affiliate your project with an EB5AN regional center.

EB5AN’s State of Illinois regional center covers the entire city of Springfield, including Downtown, Enos Park, and the rest of Springfield’s neighborhoods. So, no matter where your project is based in Springfield, you can safely affiliate with our EB-5 regional center.

What advantages does affiliation with EB5AN’s State of Illinois regional center offer to your EB-5 project?

Affiliation with our regional center, which is approved by U.S. Citizenship and Immigration (USCIS), means you can start raising EB-5 investment capital for your Springfield project right away, anywhere in Springfield, and better meet your job creation goals.

EB5AN’s experienced team of EB-5 professionals will guide you through the regional center affiliation process every step of the way. We will help you determine how many jobs your proposed project will likely create and how much EB5 investment capital your project can reasonably support. We’ll also ensure that your project meets all the criteria for regional center affiliation.

Because we are intimately familiar with the regional center affiliation process, we’ll help you get your project up and running in no time. As soon as you have finished the affiliation process, you can begin raising investment capital. Since EB5AN’s State of Illinois regional center is authorized to cover the entire state, you can raise funds from anywhere in Springfield or surrounding areas in Illinois.

Not meeting job creation requirements is one common obstacle to foreign investors being able to successfully obtain permanent resident status. EB-5 program requirements mandate that each immigrant investor create at least 10 new fulltime jobs for U.S. workers through their investment capital. This can be difficult to do when only payroll employees can be counted toward the job total. Affiliating your project with EB5AN’s regional center, however, modifies the criteria slightly so that you can also include indirect jobs in that total job count. Not only does this increase the likelihood that your investors’ immigration will be successful, it also allows you to obtain more investors—and EB-5 investment capital—for your project.

We’ll submit your application to create your own regional center within 21 days.

Is my Springfield-based EB-5 project in a targeted employment area (TEA)?

Because targeted employment area (TEA) designation holds numerous benefits for EB-5 projects in Springfield and other cities, it is important to understand both the benefits of and the USCIS process for TEA designation. To determine whether your EB-5 project location falls within a TEA, please consult our free EB-5 TEA map, which includes data for the entire United States. All you need to do is to enter the project address—the rest of the process is automated.

The EB5AN TEA map relies on the most recently published versions of two data sets, namely American Community Survey (ACS) five-year data and Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) data. It assesses TEA eligibility based on four calculation methodologies USCIS accepts—three related to calculating unemployment rates and one related to qualification as a rural TEA. Unemployment rates are calculated using (1) American Community Survey (ACS) five-year unemployment data by census tract, (2) the census-share methodology, which is based on a combination of ACS data and county-level BLS data, and (3) BLS county-level data for TEA determination on a county-wide level. To determine rural qualification, population and geographical data are considered. To qualify as a TEA, a project site needs to qualify under only one calculation method.

A TEA can also be created by combining directly adjacent census tracts and considering the weighted average unemployment rate. The EB5AN TEA map performs this function automatically.
