The geographic size of a regional center is not specifically limited by any EB-5 regulation; however, practically speaking, the larger a regional center’s geographic scope, the more challenging its size will be to justify to USCIS. Generally, if a regional center is larger than a single county, the combined counties must be contiguous and economically interdependent. A regional center’s industry scope must also be specified, which may, depending on the region, effectively limit the size of the regional center’s geography.
