The EB-5 Program is about gaining U.S. permanent resident status, and generally, the returns of EB-5 investments are low, ranging from about 0.5% to 1.0%. Returns may be distributed annually, quarterly, or even monthly depending on the project. Note that while a return on investment is permitted, a return of the investment is not—the principal of the investment must remain at risk until unconditional permanent resident status is granted.
