A project with approved I-526 Petitions has had its documentation reviewed and accepted by USCIS. For investors considering such a project, this means that the project documentation will not likely result in a denied petition. Prior I-526 approvals do not, however, indicate that a project is a safe or good investment—nor does it mean that the project will succeed and that investors’ I-829 Petitions will be approved. Every project is unique, and an investor should consider hiring third party due diligence professionals to carefully scrutinize a project before the investor enters into an agreement.
