How might a non-accredited EB-5 investor invest in a project sponsored by a regional center?

Because a regional center is engaged in a securities offering when raising funds for an EB-5 project, the investment activity is subject to federal and state securities laws and regulations. Most regional center projects operate under a securities exemption and thereby can only accept investments from accredited investors. This requirement is not optional. Anyone interested in investing through a regional center must be accredited—the only likely alternative for a non-accredited investor is to make a direct investment.
