What documents are needed to begin the EB-5 process?

Generally speaking, a potential EB-5 investor will need documents proving the lawful source and path of funds used for the investment. Depending on the nature of the source of funds, these documents can vary widely. Documents might, for example, include bank statements, payroll records, tax returns, property ownership documents, sale or loan of property documents, deeds of gift, and personal affidavits. Because the details of every EB-5 case are different, other documents may be needed—a consultation with an immigration attorney is necessary to determine all the specific documents an EB-5 investor will need.
